Many of the people we serve are older adults or live with mobility, vision or hearing challenges. We want this website to be easy for everyone to read and use.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we keep accessibility in mind as we update the site.

What we've done

  • Large, readable text with strong contrast between text and background
  • Large buttons and links that are easy to tap on a phone or tablet
  • Keyboard navigation, including a "Skip to main content" link and visible focus outlines
  • Descriptive text for images and labels for buttons and form fields, for people using screen readers
  • Clear form messages that explain what needs to be corrected
  • Reduced motion: the mobile menu doesn't animate for people who have turned on "reduce motion" on their device
  • Works at any size: pages adjust to phones, tablets and computers, and to text zoom
